Abazović meets Ambassador of Japan

Ambassador ‎of Japan Takahiko Katsumata‎‎ paid a farewell visit‎ to Prime Minister ‎‎Dritan Abazović‎‎. ‎

‎Prime Minister Abazović thanked the Ambassador for his contribution to strengthening cooperation between Montenegro and Japan, and expressed confidence that good bilateral relations will be strengthened through more intensive cooperation in the field of economy and tourism. In this sense, Montenegro's participation in ‎‎the EXPO‎‎ in Osaka will be a good opportunity to present investment and tourism potentials to Japanese investors and citizens.‎

‎Ambassador Katsumata pointed out that Japan has a strong respect for Montenegro. He stressed that Japan supports Montenegro's European integration process and its stronger economic connection with Western Balkan countries. Katsumata expressed confidence that Montenegro's participation in ‎‎the Osaka Expo‎‎ will give a strong impetus to the promotion of Montenegro's investment and tourism potential on the Japanese market.‎

‎The two officials exchanged views on the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation and agreed that it is necessary to open the Embassy of Montenegro in Japan. ‎
