Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met today with Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Montenegro, H. E. Janina Hrebickova. The meeting noted that Montenegro and the Czech Republic have extremely good cooperation and historically friendly ties, which will mean a lot to our country in the future, if we keep in mind that the Czech Republic is the next country to hold the presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Praising Montenegro for joining its international partners in introducing restrictive measures against the Russian Federation, Ambassador Hrebickova stressed the importance of cooperation and developing partnership between the two countries within the Alliance.

The two officials stated that they will continue the excellent cooperation that was built during Ms. Hrebickova's tenure as Head of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro.

DPM Abazović stressed the importance of the support of the Czech Republic for Montenegro's European path, whose experience can help us in many ways in joining the EU. Abazović pointed out that European integration and closing of negotiating chapters will be the focus of the work of the new, 43rd Government, which will mean a decisive fight against crime and corruption, but also the continuation of unblocking the institutions, without which there is no visible domestic and foreign policy progress.
