Prime Minister Dritan Abazović will participate today in the annual Southeastern Europe Democracy Summit (SEE|DEM)organised by the International Republican Institute. The summit will be held from 29 to 31 May in Budva.

This year's summit brings together high-ranking officials from the United States, Europe and the region, as well as a number of relevant experts, with the aim of discussing key topics related to regional stability.

The focus of the event is the impact of the war in Ukraine on the Western Balkans, with a panel discussion on changing political and security dynamics, Russian influence and the growing costs of "brain drain" from the region.

President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, US Special Representative to the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar, EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Miroslav Lajčák, and British Prime Minister's Special Envoy to the Western Balkans Sir Stuart Peach will also take part in the Summit.

On the sidelines of the Summit, Prime Minister Abazović will have separate bilateral meetings with EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Miroslav Lajčák, and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia in charge of European Affairs Bojan Maricikj.
