The return of property to the old owners in Valdanos has officially begun, said Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović.

The Cadastre and State Property Administration and its unit in Ulcinj issued the first decisions returning the property confiscated in 1978 to the old owners.

The issue of olive groves in Valdanos Bay was brought up again on 17 December 2020, when DPM Abazović, during his official visit to the municipality of Ulcinj, visited Valdanos Bay and talked with old olive grove owners and representatives of the Olive Growers Association.

We promised to complete the process of returning the olive groves to the old owners, and we did that. By returning the olive groves to the old owners, we corrected a decades-long injustice. This is a victory for the hundred-year-old olive trees and their old owners, but also symbolically a new beginning for the city of Ulcinj, Abazović concluded.
