Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović congratulated President of the Municipality of Ulcinj Aleksandar Dabović, President of the Municipal Assembly of Ulcinj Haxhi Sulejmani, members of the Municipal Assembly and all citizens on the Day of the Municipality of Ulcinj.

Deputy Prime Minister wished that the coronavirus situation improves, that the highest attainable level of health of citizens will be ensured so that "Cervantes' city" would be ready to welcome tourists and the summer tourist season.

"In that regard, as I said recently, the Government will give its maximum so that the season in Ulcinj, and in the whole of Montenegro, would be at the highest possible level and that the economic parameters would be an incentive for accelerated development," Abazović emphasised.

He pointed out that Ulcinj is a city that has all the necessary potentials to be a tourist engine of the entire region and that there is almost no municipality that has more natural resources in a small area.

"With the new budget, the Government also planned balanced development of every municipality in Montenegro, including Ulcinj. We will no longer allow some municipalities to be privileged over others. The local government has the same task and that is to encourage development and creative projects that will contribute to the development of Ulcinj.

In the coming period, we must work smarter and better, do everything to keep the youth in Ulcinj, and we must base development on sustainability, protection of space and proper planning. It is time to start large and planned investments in tourism, to additionally engage our capacities in agriculture, to help businesspeople, but also to affirm our millennia-old culture. We have to return Ulcinj to its former glory, that is why it is important to show love and respect to the city," the Deputy Prime Ministerʹs congratulatory letter reads.
