DPM Bečić congratulates Milorad Marković on his appointment as Supreme State Prosecutor

The functionality of Montenegrin institutions has been restored. Following the Constitutional Court, the Judicial Council, and the governor, today, after five years, a new Supreme State Prosecutor was elected with significant support from members of parliament.

A monumental day for Montenegrin society, our citizens, and our European path. The closing of negotiation chapters finally becomes a reality.

Congratulations to Mr. Marković, whom we have supported unreservedly from the very beginning, providing him with a historic opportunity and trust.

Welcome, Mr. Marković, to continue the resolute fight against organised crime and corruption in a healthy institutional partnership. Let us make the institutions strong and resilient, restoring the system's values and ensuring that no one is ever stronger than the state again.
