DPM Koprivica congratulates Milorad Marković on his appointment as Supreme State Prosecutor

Congratulations to Mr. Marković on his appointment as Supreme State Prosecutor. With this appointment, Montenegro demonstrates democratic maturity and responsibility, entering a phase of stability, normalization, and a conducive environment for the realization of rights and justice.

Mr. Marković's appointment is excellent news for reforms and EU integration process, as well as for the work of the State Prosecutor's Office. Only with a Supreme State Prosecutor in a full term and with unquestionable moral and professional qualities can we guarantee support and encouragement for a decisive fight against crime and corruption.

Organised crime and corruption have been the greatest enemies of our legal and economic system in past decades, affecting all citizens who lived honestly from their work. Therefore, strengthening the rule of law is the fundamental priority of our state and government.

Honorable and courageous professionals like Mr. Marković in the judiciary will contribute to the recovery of this institution, while political institutions will provide a solid legislative framework and conditions for efficient and independent work.

By achieving judicial appointments, we will accelerate our path to the EU and contribute to closing Chapters 23 and 24. Montenegro is truly a positive example in the Western Balkans and a leader in EU integration.
