DPM Koprivica lays wreath at memorial monument in Velika

Deputy Prime Minister for Political System, Judiciary, and Anti-Corruption Momo Koprivica laid a wreath at the memorial monument in Velika on 28 July, commemorating the innocent civilians who perished in 1944. Deputy Prime Minister Koprivica also attended the liturgy and the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the atrocities in Velika.

On 30 July 2022, the Parliament of Montenegro adopted the Resolution on the Genocide in Piva and Velika, establishing a civilized and universal approach of our state and reaffirming its commitment to the antifascist tradition. The tragic events that claimed innocent lives and caused suffering and devastation are a reminder to all humanity that such atrocities must never be repeated.
