DPM Zogović meets with Ekaterina Paniklova

Deputy Prime Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Milun Zogović met with UNDP Resident Representative for Montenegro Ekaterina Paniklova and Team Leader for Governance and Responsive Institutions at UNDP Montenegro Ivan Bošković.

In a cordial discussion, the interlocutors agreed that there are open opportunities for enhancing cooperation in key areas, including infrastructure, regional development, and inspection oversight. They emphasized the importance of development projects that contribute to sustainable growth and more efficient resource management. Through cooperation in infrastructure, the goal is to improve the quality of life across different regions and support balanced regional development.

As Montenegro continues its EU integration process, significant efforts have been made to align its legislation with EU standards. Cooperation is particularly crucial in addressing challenges related to the implementation of the harmonized legal framework, as the effective enforcement of laws is of key importance, especially in the field of inspection oversight.

This meeting represents an important step in strengthening the partnership between Montenegro and UNDP, with a particular emphasis on the role of international organizations like UNDP in supporting Montenegro through the challenges of its EU integration process.
