The Montenegrin health system received a donation of 60 ventilators, worth about a million dollars, from our entrepreneurs from the diaspora, who expressed a wish to remain anonymous.

On behalf of the Ministry of Health and the Government of Montenegro, State Secretary in the Ministry of Health Borko Bajić thanked for this significant donation, which arrived in Montenegro today. Bajić pointed out that Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić and Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović brokered the deal.

ʺThis very valuable donation comes at the right time, at a time when we are fighting the coronavirus and when we desperately need to further strengthen the health system and all health institutions, in order to have equal capacity to fight against COVID-19,ʺ Bajić said.

Director of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro Ljiljana Radulović emphasised that the donation of 60 ventilators during the COVID-19 pandemic speaks volumes about how important it is for the health system.

ʺThis is the most important type of donation that we need at the moment and the only way to technically improve the current capacities of the health system of Montenegro. If we take into account the significant increase in the number of ventilators that we now have thanks to this donation, it is clear that the quality of health care will be significantly improved,ʺ said Dr. Radulović.

Director General of the Directorate of Digital Health in the Ministry of Health Aleksandar Sekulić also attended today's delivery of donation.
