Gjeloshaj opens Regional Arbitration Conference: Montenegro aims to be a secure destination for investors
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj opened the regional conference titled "Strengthening Legal Security for Investment Arrival and Development", organised by The AIRE Centre and the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro, with the support of the British Embassy in Podgorica.
Deputy Prime Minister Gjeloshaj emphasized that Montenegro aspires to be a secure and reliable destination for investors. He highlighted that achieving this goal requires legal predictability, efficient dispute resolution mechanisms, and transparency within the judicial system.
A robust arbitration framework provides investors with confidence that their rights will be safeguarded, leading to greater investments and a stronger economy, which is a shared objective for all of us, stated Gjeloshaj.
The conference, held today in Podgorica, gathered leading arbitration experts, including Tim Eicke, Judge of the European Court of Human Rights, Niamh Leinwather, Secretary General of the Vienna International Arbitral Centre, and Andrew Henshaw, President of the Commercial Court of the United Kingdom.
