Hilton Hotels to Embark on a Luxurious Journey in Ulcinj
Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met with Dominique Piquemal, Vice President of the renowned hotel brand Hilton, and the new investor for the location of the former Hotel Jadran in Ulcinj, Mr. Arber Kryeziu. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Omer Barjaktari, President of the Municipality of Ulcinj.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Abazović expressed his delight at the interest shown by a globally significant hotel brand like Hilton to further expand its presence in Montenegro, particularly in Ulcinj. He emphasised that there is tremendous potential for the continued development of a unique tourist destination in Ulcinj, and the arrival of a five-star hotel at this central location would mark a new beginning for the city. The Prime Minister also highlighted the significant progress made in Montenegro's tourism offerings in recent times and the efforts invested to make it a year-round destination, where this hotel will play a crucial role.
Mr. Piquemal underscored Hilton's recognition of the immense potential in Montenegro and Ulcinj for hotel development, attributing it to the region's breathtaking nature and the warmth and hospitality of its people. Hilton's mission is to integrate into the local community and promote these values to its guests. The demand for unique hotel experiences and the acknowledgment of quality make Hilton ideally positioned to meet the market's needs.
The meeting participants acknowledged that global hotel brands that have already established themselves in Montenegro have achieved remarkable success and delivered positive results. They believe that new investments will continue this trend in the future. Given that 60% of Hilton's business comes from the American market, which is strategically significant for Montenegro, Hilton's substantial base of repeat guests will enhance the destination's visibility in this market and attract new visitors to Montenegro.
All parties agreed that infrastructure plays a vital role in the further development of the tourist destination. Improving airport infrastructure, increasing the number of flights, and enhancing transportation networks will enhance accessibility and mobility for guests. These priorities align closely with the focus of the Government of Montenegro.
As this exciting partnership moves forward, the Government of Montenegro, Hilton, and the new investor are committed to fostering sustainable tourism growth, promoting cultural exchange, and strengthening Ulcinj's position as a premier travel destination in the region.
