Joković meets Ambassador of Slovenia
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Vladimir Joković received Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Montenegro Gregor Presker.
Minister Joković emphasised that Montenegro and Slovenia nurture close friendly relations.
Joković informed the Ambassador about the activities in the field of agriculture, forestry and water management, as well as the plans of the Ministry for the next period.
The Ambassador congratulated Minister Joković on his appointment and expressed belief that they would continue and improve cooperation during his term of office.
Ambassador Presker confirmed the readiness of the Republic of Slovenia to intensify the exchange of experiences between Montenegro and Slovenia in the agricultural sector, emphasising that he is ready to provide all necessary expert and technical assistance to Montenegro in fulfilling obligations on its European path.
The meeting stressed successful projects and best practices of Slovenia in the field of agriculture, rural tourism, forestry and the use of EU funds through numerous programmes of great importance, from which Montenegro can learn a lot.
Bot sides agreed that agricultural cooperation must be raised to a higher level, emphasising the need to work on raising awareness of the need to unite producers in order to provide sufficient quantities of high-quality products that can compete in the market.
The two officials expressed mutual readiness to further strengthen and improve cooperation between Montenegro and the Republic of Slovenia, through business cooperation, economic activity and trade in the coming period.
