Minister Borovinić Bojović meets with Montenegrin students in Hungary: The future of our country depends on the education of young generations
The Montenegrin delegation, led by Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović, met with the representatives of students from Montenegro who are studying in Hungary.
In the premises of the Embassy of Montenegro in Budapest, Minister Borovinić Bojović and Ambassador of Montenegro to Hungary Aleksandar Moštrokol, and their associates, spoke with our students about their experiences and the needs.
Minister Borovinić Bojović told the students that she was pleased to meet them and hear directly from them about their education and living in this country. Hungarian universities are known and highly ranked in the world, and our students are educated in various fields - international relations, economics, electrical engineering, medicine, pharmacy.
The Minister pointed out that education is of great importance for the life of every individual, but also for the entire Montenegrin society, adding that the education of young generations is especially important since the future of the country directly depends on them.
The Minister stressed that the state will do everything to create conditions for our students who study outside the borders of our country to return to Montenegro and apply the acquired knowledge and skills in their country.
Ambassador Moštrokol confirmed that the Embassy of Montenegro in Budapest has been striving from the beginning to gather our community and to have intensive contact with students. There is also the possibility of volunteering at the Embassy, and the new diplomatic mission will continue to strengthen the connection with the student community.
Montenegrin students were especially pleased with the information that, at the initiative of Minister Borovinić Bojović, the Hungarian Government took into consideration the recognition of PCR tests performed in Montenegro. The students expressed hope that the recognition of the tests will accelerate the renewal of flights on the route Budapest-Podgorica, which is of great importance for their connection with their families and homeland. They were also interested in whether Montenegro would issue certificates of vaccination against coronavirus. The Montenegrin delegation explained that people vaccinated in Montenegro will have a certificate with a QR code that will clearly show the vaccination status.
The students spoke with the Minister, the Government delegation and the representatives of the Embassy about the current epidemiological situation, digitalisation in the health system, the possibilities of finding a place in society upon returning to the country and other topics of their interest.
We remind that at the end of February, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Đorđe Radulović and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Péter Szijjártó signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Montenegro and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary on cooperation within the Stipendium Hungaricum programme for the period 2021-2023, which will be the basis for the mobility of our students, as an incentive to further strengthen the friendly ties between the two countries.
