Minister Miljanić opens Regional Conference on Combating Illicit Trade

Minister without Portfolio Zoran Miljanić opened the Regional Conference on Combating Illicit Trade in Budva, organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia.

The conference brings together representatives of state bodies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.

Minister Miljanić said that solving the problems of the grey economy and unfair competition is one of the priorities of the 43rd Government of Montenegro, which will directly affect the financial health of our country and new jobs. Our goal is to make a business environment that motivates companies to comply with regulations and obligations, in which unfair competition will become a thing of the past, he added.

Successful actions of the competent institutions show that there are no more untouchables and that the responsibility will be borne by all those who have violated the law, regardless of their position, Miljanić pointed out and said that the Government is committed to fighting all forms of crime.

The goal of the conference in Budva is to exchange information and best practices, as well as define the next steps in the joint fight against illicit trade in the region.
