One of the most important strategic goals of Montenegro is the development of infrastructure in areas that are crucial for more intensive economic growth and development. By preparing the Single List of Priority Infrastructure Projects, we will contribute to the implementation of important projects in the field of transport, energy, environmental protection, social activities such as education, health, justice, labour and social welfare, and digital infrastructure, said Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić at the second session of the National Investment Commission.

The Prime Minister said that it is very important, having in mind the limited domestic and international sources of financing the development of infrastructure, to direct the available financial resources to strategically important projects, which will have the greatest impact on socio-economic development and fulfillment of obligations arising from EU accession process.

At today's session, the members of the National Investment Commission reviewed and adopted the Semi-Annual Report on the work of that body and analyzed the Information on updating the Single List of Priority Infrastructure Projects.

The session pointed out the importance of timely planning of projects for financing within the Economic and Investment Plan for the Western Balkans. In that context, the dynamics of the participation of line ministries in the calls published through the Western Balkans Investment Framework was discussed.
