PM Krivokapić congratulates International Workers' Day: We will do everything to reduce unemployment and improve standard of living

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić congratulated 1 May - International Workers' Day, saying that the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative impact on the economy, and thus on a large number of citizens who lost their jobs.

"Behind us is a year in which, for objective reasons, we have not been able to fully use and enjoy the benefits of our country. One of the basic rights that we could not fully exercise was the right to work and the opportunity to provide ourselves, our loved ones and the entire community with complete material security and comfort. On the day when we remember all the obstacles that the worker has overcome through the centuries, fighting for human dignity and honor, we express the hope that we have a time ahead in which neither the COVID-19 pandemic will be able to affect us, nor the labour and capital market. This is the year of social justice and the Government will do everything to reduce unemployment and improve the standard of living of Montenegrin citizens. Immunization of the Montenegrin population and people from all over the world gives us the right to welcome the upcoming summer tourist season in an optimistic mood and to prepare ourselves for new working victories," the Prime Minister's congratulatory message reads.
