PM Krivokapić meets with Hungarian Foreign Minister
Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić hosted today the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Hungary, H.E. Péter Szijjártó.
Prime Minister Krivokapić and Minister Szijjártó expressed satisfaction with the more than successful start of mass vaccination, which is being carried out in Montenegro, as well as with the improving epidemiological situation, which will enable Montenegrin tourism workers to achieve the planned results during the upcoming summer season.
PM Krivokapić thanked the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs for the assistance offered to Montenegro in the procurement of vaccines, emphasising that this is additional support that Hungary continuously provides to Montenegro, both during the COVID-19 pandemic and during the EU accession negotiations.
Prime Minister Krivokapić and Hungarian Minister Szijjártó discussed ways to enhance and expand bilateral cooperation in all areas, as they concluded that there is mutual interest in this, as evidenced, among other things, by the efforts of both sides to finally harmonize the text of the Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Republic of Hungary on mutual recognition of immunization certificates.
The meeting between Prime Minister Krivokapić and Foreign Minister Szijjártó followed a recent successful visit by Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović to Hungarian colleagues, which resulted in an agreement on mutual recognition of the vaccination certificate for all available types of vaccines, as well as by Hungary's consideration to accept the validity of PCR tests performed in Montenegro.
