Fulfilling interim benchmarks and advancing in EU integrations would provide additional motivation for Montenegro on its European path, as emphasised during a meeting between Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and Czech Minister of European Affairs Martin Dvořák.

It was concluded that this would further strengthen the strong momentum that the Parliament and the 44th Government have provided for the accession negotiations.

During the discussion, Dvořák emphasised that Montenegro and the Western Balkans have the full support of the Czech Republic in their integrations, and that the results achieved in the past three months are a clear message that there is a willingness in Montenegro to meet the required reforms.

Montenegro has done a great job in the past period, and we are ready to support you in every segment, Dvořák pointed out.

The Prime Minister noted that obtaining the IBAR (Interim Benchmark Assessment Report) would be a clear indicator of progress and a significant boost for the entire administration.

In this context, Prime Minister Spajić announced the continuation of reforms, which will enable the fulfillment of the requirements of Chapters 23 and 24.

The potential for strengthening diplomatic cooperation through the potential opening of a Montenegrin diplomatic representation in Prague was emphasised, along with the Czech Republic's expressed readiness to support the imminent implementation of this initiative.

The importance of strengthening institutions and the entire public administration system was emphasised during the conversation. Discussions also revolved around major infrastructure projects that will enable balanced development in Montenegro.

There was also mention of significant potential for increasing the volume of Czech investments. Minister Dvořák stated that Czech companies, which have a lot of experience in the railway infrastructure, energy, and wood industries, are interested in investing.
