Prime Minister with representatives of Azmont and Orascom companies

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić met today with the CEO of Azmont Investments Rashad Aliyev, and the Chairman of the Orascom Group, Naguib Samih Sawiris, with whom he discussed the business environment in Montenegro and opportunities for stepping up cooperation.

Azmont representatives congratulated the Prime Minister on the election of the 44th Government and expressed their commitment to expanding their business.

On behalf of one of the largest investors in Montenegro, I congratulate you on your appointment and I believe that in close cooperation and with mutual understanding, we will succeed in improving the business and tourism environment in Montenegro, said Erentok.

Naguib Samih Sawiris, Chairman of the Orascom Group, believes that Montenegro has an exciting ten years ahead of it, during which it is possible for our country to position itself globally as a top tourism destination.

In the company, we are of the opinion that it is an honor to be a part of the Montenegrin story. I believe that the new Government can spark a renaissance. I believe that Montenegro can do a lot in the next ten years and we are looking forward to it, Sawiris pointed out.

During the meetings, Prime Minister Spajić introduced the interlocutors to the current state-of-affairs and the Government's plans for the implementation of the development agenda, which, as he said, entails the amendment of legal solutions and the intensive development of infrastructure and traffic.

We want to create an incentivizing and predictable business environment that will enable businesspeople and investors to better plan and lay quality foundations for further growth. More chances for the economy are a certain way to create greater value for our country and citizens. That is why we are planning to amend the set of laws in the run-up to the tourism season by the spring of next year, announced the Prime Minister.

At the meetings, it was assessed that it is necessary to resolve the issue of service quality and capacity at the airports as soon as possible, and they agreed that investing in the education of professional, local personnel is key to the further development of the economy, especially in the domain of extending the tourism season, which is in the interest of the state and the entire tourism industry.
