Spajić: Montenegro has a major opportunity for rapid development that must not be missed
The Governments of Montenegro and the United Arab Emirates have signed agreements on economic cooperation and joint investment during a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.
The agreements were signed by Prime Minister of Montenegro Milojko Spajić and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in the presence of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The purpose of these agreements is to promote cooperation based on equality and mutual benefit, in full compliance with the laws of both countries. The collaboration will cover a wide range of sectors, with a special focus on strategic and public-interest projects that will bring economic benefits to citizens in both nations.
Montenegro needs investments from credible companies that have successfully implemented large-scale projects for decades, backed by guarantees from the world’s most reputable countries. The Agreement on Economic Cooperation lays the foundation for expanding areas of collaboration, leading to increased investment in Montenegro, said Prime Minister Spajić.
The Agreement on Tourism Cooperation is expected to accelerate economic growth, create new jobs, and improve living standards, ensuring that benefits are evenly distributed across both the southern and northern regions of the country. For the first time in our history, the agreement explicitly prioritizes balanced regional development across Montenegro, Spajić emphasized.
Prime Minister Spajić also stated that this marks a significant opportunity for Montenegro's accelerated economic development, leading to higher salaries, pensions and other benefits for all citizens.
