Spajić: Pljevlja will get new hospital after fifty years

A tender has been announced for drafting technical documentation, as well as for the construction of the new General Hospital in Pljevlja using the design-build method.

After half a century, Pljevlja will finally get a new hospital. The investment of nearly 40 million euros represents one of the largest investments by the Government in this city, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić posted on X.

The Prime Minister expressed his pride in Minister Šimun's team and looked forward to the improved quality of healthcare services for the citizens.

We remind you that a tender has been announced for drafting technical documentation, as well as for the construction of the new General Hospital in Pljevlja using the design-build method. After 50 years since the last hospital was built, Montenegro will get a new hospital that will provide healthcare services to the citizens of Pljevlja and Žabljak.

The new hospital facility, valued at approximately 40 million euros, will significantly improve the working conditions for medical staff, enable timely and comprehensive healthcare services, and create conditions for the arrival and retention of doctors and medical personnel, stated Minister of Health Vojislav Šimun.

The new General Hospital in Pljevlja will have a recommended gross floor area of approximately 11,500 m2. The main building will house 16 functional units and 140 hospital beds, aiming to achieve maximum functionality in the organisation of the hospital in accordance with the highest standards.
