Prime Minister Milojko Spajić met today with representatives of local governments as part of consultations regarding the implementation of the Population Census scheduled for 30 November.

It is important to solve the issue of conducting the Census in the best manner and with the broadest consensus, which will give us relevant data for the further development of Montenegro in our common interest, said the Prime Minister and expressed satisfaction with the meeting with the Presidents of local governments, which, as he said, was a good platform for cooperation on other issues important for social development.

The Prime Minister also informed the interlocutors about the talks he had had with representatives of parliamentary parties, the non-governmental sector and representatives of less numerous national communities.

The Government and myself expressed the good will to meet all constructive and well-intentioned requests, he pointed out.

The representatives of the municipalities expressed a positive stance towards the readiness of the Government to contribute to the solution of the problem in direct communication with the local governments and informed the Prime Minister about the activities undertaken to implement the Census in the planned period.

The interlocutors discussed the models for finalizing the preparatory procedures and expressed the expectation that the process itself, like today's dialogue, would take place in a civilized and democratic atmosphere.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Statistics Administration and Ministers Fatmir Gjeka and Novica Vuković.
