The state's interest is for Sveti Stefan to be open

Regarding the repeated requests from the residents of Pržno and Sveti Stefan for the termination of the contract with the company "Adriatic Properties" concerning the lease of Sveti Stefan, on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Development and my own, I express full understanding and share the aspiration for the town-hotel Sveti Stefan to be fully utilized.

Convinced that the current situation benefits neither party, I once again call upon the lessee "Adriatic Properties" to adhere to the terms of the contract and accordingly open Sveti Stefan. Failing this, the Government, specifically the relevant Ministry, will undertake all legally prescribed measures to protect the interests of the state of Montenegro – and the interest is for Sveti Stefan to be open.

Therefore, the 44th Government, which inherited this unresolved issue from the past period, has both the will and the capacity to ensure compliance with the contract, but will not and cannot accept anything beyond what is stipulated by the laws of Montenegro.

In this regard, once again, with full understanding of the residents' requests, we call for adherence to the terms of the lease agreement with the implicit compliance with positive legal regulations.
