Zogović and Vukićević meet with the President of the National Assembly of Serbia

Deputy Prime Minister Milun Zogović and Minister of Transport Maja Vukićević expressed their satisfaction that their first official international visit took place in Belgrade. DPM Zogović and Minister Vukićević met with the Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure of Serbia.

Following that meeting, they had the opportunity to meet with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. Zogović and Vukićević emphasised that cooperation with Serbia is of great importance to Montenegro, and they are committed to elevating the relations between the two countries in the coming years. President of the National Assembly Ana Brnabić agreed, noting that Serbia places significant importance on regional cooperation, as a developed and connected region improves the quality of life for all its citizens.

It is a pleasure that, after our meeting at the Palace of Serbia, we organised a meeting in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, from where we jointly send a message about the importance of the announced joint activities of the two governments, said Minister Vukićević.

The President of the Serbian Assembly highlighted that parliamentary diplomacy is one of her priorities and that she will strive to establish closer cooperation with the Parliament of Montenegro.

Deputy Prime Minister Zogović and Minister Vukićević reiterated that Montenegro's key infrastructure projects include the reconstruction of the Belgrade–Bar railway and the construction of a highway that would connect the Montenegrin coast and Podgorica with Belgrade in the future.

Zogović and Vukićević paid a two-day visit to Belgrade. Earlier in the day, they met with Serbia's Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, and they are scheduled to meet with representatives of the Transport Community Permanent Secretariat in Belgrade later today.
