Abazović meets Antonio Tajani

Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Antonio Tajani on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting on the Western Balkans in Rome.

Prime Minister Abazović pointed out that Montenegro and Italy have been close allies with cultural and historical ties.

Abazović and Tajani discussed possibilities to achieve better connection between the two countries, primarily through the opening of a ferry line between Bar and Bari, as well as Ancona.

Discussing the consequences of the Russian Federation's invasion of Ukraine and the impact of the war on the energy crisis, Abazović and Tajani discussed the possibility of additional energy connection between Montenegro and Italy.
