Abazović meets with Grubi: I invite citizens of North Macedonia to spend the summer in Montenegro
Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazović met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia and Minister of Political System and Inter-Community Relations Artan Grubi.
Deputy Prime Minister Abazović said that Montenegro and North Macedonia have excellent relations and that they are an example to all other countries. DPM Abazović informed the First Deputy Prime Minister Grubi about the idea of establishing a "Green Corridor" that would significantly contribute to the economy during the tourism season. In that sense, DPM Abazović used the opportunity to invite tourists from North Macedonia to visit Montenegro in the summer, emphasising the importance of tourism for the Montenegrin economy.
First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia Artan Grubi thanked Deputy Prime Minister Abazović and Montenegro for their support during North Macedonia's accession to NATO, as well as for their support in European integration. First Deputy Prime Minister Grubi said that Montenegro and the Republic of North Macedonia have room for improving economic cooperation and that in that sense the Governments of the two countries should organize a joint Cabinet session.
The meeting also discussed the vaccination process and the COVID-19 situation in the region, given that the two countries have similar problems at the moment. If we had had better regional cooperation in the previous period, the countries in the Western Balkans would have been more successful in procuring vaccines today, Abazović and Grubi agreed.
