BIG Shopping Centers announces new investments leading to more jobs in Podgorica, Budva, and Nikšić

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, Minister of Spatial Planning and Urbanism Janko Odović, and Mayor of Podgorica Olivera Injac met with a delegation from BIG Shopping Centers, led by Chairman Eitan Bar Zeev.

During the meeting, the plan for the reconstruction of the BIG Fashion shopping center in Podgorica was presented.

By merging two existing buildings and expanding, over 17,000 square meters of additional usable space will be created, resulting in a greater number of facilities and job opportunities within the shopping center.

Discussions also revolved around resolving parking issues, with plans for the construction of a large multi-level underground garage.

Further steps leading to the commencement of construction were also discussed.

It was emphasized that the reconstruction will not in any way compromise the operation of the shopping center, which will remain open throughout the duration of the works.

BIG Shopping Centers highlighted their readiness to begin work in Nikšić and Radanovići as well.

Investments totaling 40 million euros will create several hundred new jobs.

It was concluded that administrative procedures need to be resolved as efficiently as possible to ensure that construction can commence during 2024.
