The Government will submit a request to Parliament tomorrow to hold an extraordinary session on 21 January, said Minister without Portfolio for Parliamentary Relations Milutin Butorović.

Butorović expressed regret that the Budget was not adopted on time due to opposition obstructions.

Tomorrow, we will officially submit a request to the Paliament to ensure the Budget is approved during January. This is the only way to guarantee the payment of increased pensions and proportional pensions, stated the Minister.

He added that, along with the Budget Law, the Government will propose the inclusion of accompanying laws in the agenda of the extraordinary session, particularly those concerning proportional pensions and Montenegro’s continued European integration.

Our proposal is to hold the session on 21 January. We trust in the constructive approach of the opposition to ensure the adoption of this crucial law for our country, to the satisfaction of all citizens, especially pensioners, Butorović concluded.
