Minister Butorović and Investment Agency Director Đurović: Improving the investment climate in cooperation with the Parliament

Minister without Portfolio Milutin Butorović met with Director of the Investment Agency of Montenegro Snežana Đurović.

Discussions focused on opportunities for closer collaboration with the legislative branch, particularly in creating a more favourable legal framework for investors and simplifying investment procedures. Director Đurović emphasised the importance of synergy to accelerate the adoption of legal solutions that encourage investments in key sectors.

Minister Butorović highlighted the crucial role of the Investment Agency in providing expert proposals and initiatives, drawing from global best practices to attract reliable investors.

The Government is making maximum efforts to improve the business environment, and with the new Fiscal Strategy, among other things, reducing the tax burden on labour will make Montenegro the country with the lowest labour costs in Europe. All these activities position Montenegro as a reliable investment destination. It is our responsibility, in collaboration with Parliament, to do even more, said the Minister.

During the meeting, it was agreed to intensify joint efforts on projects of strategic importance for Montenegro's economy, with continuous exchange of information and initiatives with the Government and the Parliament of Montenegro.

Both parties expressed their readiness to continue active dialogue to ensure a predictable and sustainable growth and development of the investment environment.
