Koprivica meets with Pellet and Maskay

Deputy Prime Minister for Political System, Judiciary, and Anti-Corruption Momo Koprivica met with Jérémie Pellet, Chief Executive Officer of Expertise France, the French agency for international technical cooperation, and the French Ambassador to Montenegro, Anne-Marie Maskay

During the meeting, key initiatives and objectives that the Government of Montenegro plans to achieve in the coming period were discussed.

In this context, Deputy Prime Minister Koprivica emphasised the importance of reforms for the further progress of Montenegrin society and highlighted the Government's commitment to fighting corruption, improving the judiciary, and strengthening the political system in line with European standards, as well as harmonising legislation with EU legal acquis.

In particular, the work of the National Council for the Fight against Corruption, which prepared the Anti-Corruption Strategy, was praised.

Pellet and Maskay confirmed strong support and promised all forms of assistance from France on Montenegro's path to European integration.

The interlocutors agreed that the European perspective and receiving a positive Interim Benchmark Assessment Report (IBAR) are of crucial importance for Montenegro's further progress.

Additionally, maintaining stability and enhancing the prosperity of the region were highlighted as exceptional priorities, which will be key elements of further cooperation between the two countries.

This meeting represents the continuation of successful cooperation and dialogue between Montenegro and France, further strengthening the ties and trust between the two friendly countries in achieving common goals and interests, it was concluded at the meeting.
