Mehmet Kemal Bozay – Bečić: Remarkable results achieved

It is always a pleasure to meet with friends and high representatives of our partner country with whom we have a continuity in enhancing cooperation and excellent political relations at the highest level, said Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Bečić during his meeting with Mehmet Kemal Bozay, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye.

The fact that we are partners in NATO, continuously improving cooperation, and that our diaspora represents a strong link between the two countries, has been further confirmed by the visits of the highest officials of Türkiye during 2021, which left a strong imprint on our diplomatic relations, emphasised Bečić.

During your tenure as the President of the Parliament, we had visits to Montenegro by the President of the Grand National Assembly and the President of the Republic of Türkiye, along with your meetings with them in a short period. We appreciate your continuous contribution to strengthening the relations between the two countries. Also, we sincerely congratulate you on the remarkable results and successes you achieve in the fight against organised crime and corruption. You are a truly important figure in your politics, and we aim to deepen cooperation with your Government in the fields of aviation, transportation, healthcare, agriculture, and energy, as our only goal is to ensure that our cooperation benefits the citizens, said the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye.

Montenegro is a leader on the European path, emphasised the Deputy Minister, adding that the recent judicial reforms have accelerated the path towards the EU, "and in Brussels, the story of success in these fields is the loudest," emphasised Mehmet Kemal.

Bečić highlighted that significant progress has been made on the EU path in recent months, with unresolved issues being addressed, and numerous arrests, prosecutions, and seizures taking place.

The 44th Government has clearly defined its goals, and the responsibility lies with all of us. Bečić concluded by emphasising that the historic European opportunity has presented itself to Montenegro and this generation of politicians, and it must not be missed.
