Minister Ivanović participates in roundtable discussion organized by the Atlantic Council

Minister of Foreign Affairs Filip Ivanović, currently paying a working visit to the United States, participated today in Washington in a roundtable organized by the Atlantic Council.

The central theme of the discussion revolved around current security issues, as well as the European and Euro-Atlantic perspectives of the Western Balkans. Alongside the host, the roundtable saw the participation of representatives from the diplomatic corps, former US ambassadors to the region, and experts from think tanks in Washington.

During the hour-long dialogue, Minister Ivanović engaged with participants on numerous issues related to Montenegro's foreign policy priorities, the current political situation, the EU integration process, and the roles of the EU and the US in the Western Balkans region. The discussion also touched on stability and security in the region and geopolitical developments in the context of Russian aggression in Ukraine.

On his first working day in Washington, Minister Ivanović also met with the Director of the Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program and the Stuart Center in Euro-Atlantic and Northern European Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
