Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation Anđela Jakšić Stojanović and Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China Huai Jinpeng signed the Programme of Cooperation in Education between the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation of Montenegro and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China for the period 2024-2027, as well as an Agreement on the Mutual Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications.

The cooperation programme covers preschool, primary, secondary, vocational, higher, and continuous education, as well as the field of science and research. Special attention will be given to the exchange of students, staff, joint implementation of scientific research projects, organisation of seminars and conferences, collaboration on joint publications in renowned scientific journals, etc.

The signing of the agreement will enable intensified collaboration between Montenegrin and Chinese educational institutions, opening new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of education, science, and innovation.

During her official visit to Shanghai, the Minister also participated in a multilateral meeting organised by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the City of Shanghai. The meeting provided an exceptional opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the field of educational process digitization, as well as devising models for establishing more intensive cooperation in research and innovation.
