Popa presented Spajić with the Country Report: The starting point for reform processes
EU Ambassador to Montenegro, Oana Cristina Popa, handed Prime Minister Milojko Spajić the Country Report of the European Commission on Montenegro's progress.
The European Union hopes that last week's election of the new Government of Montenegro could mark a turning point in terms of the country's accession to the European Union. We welcome the declared commitment of the Montenegrin authorities to achieve rapid results in EU-related reforms. The annual report of the European Commission provides important guidelines in that direction, said Popa.
Prime Minister Milojko Spajić pointed out that the Report represents an objective picture of the situation and at the same time a good starting point for the Government's further actions.
We will carefully consider all assessments and recommendations in order to give a new impetus by decisive action to the integration process and reform processes for the European perspective of Montenegro, concluded the Prime Minister.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of European Affairs, Maida Gorčević.
