Prime Minister Spajić continued consultations with Ambassadors
As part of the meeting with the Ambassadors, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić spoke with the Ambassadors of Greece, Switzerland, Ireland and Finland.
The relations between Montenegro and Greece are exceptional, but there is room for improvement in areas of mutual interest; this is the message of the meeting between Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and Greek Ambassador Partso Panagiotis.
"Integration into the European Union is important for the economy and for society as a whole. Greece strongly supports your membership", said the Greek Ambassador.
The following was disused at the meeting: the strengthening of the traffic connection between the two countries, the construction of the Adriatic-Ionian highway project and the bolstering of overall economic cooperation.
Ambassador Urs Schmid presented the Prime Minister with a congratulatory message from the President of Switzerland, Alain Berset, on the occasion of the election of the 44th Government and said that Switzerland supports the reform processes in Montenegro, which guarantee the stability of the business environment. This, he said, is a positive signal to potential investors.
At the meeting with Irish Ambassador Ragnar Almqvist, commitment to strengthening bilateral relations was highlighted and it was assessed that the planned visit of Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar to Montenegro would give a strong impetus to the bolstering of political dialogue and the strengthening of overall cooperation between the two countries.
The Prime Minister pointed out that Ireland, which celebrates 50 years of EU membership this year, is a good example of how to use the status of an EU member state to create a better future for its citizens. As such, Ireland is a role model for Montenegro as well, the Prime Minister pointed out.
During the conversation with the Ambassador of Finland to Montenegro, Niklas Lindqvist, Prime Minister Spajić pointed out the importance of Finland's accession to NATO this year and pointed out that this circumstance is of exceptional importance for the Alliance, both politically and militarily.
The interlocutors exchanged opinions on the opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of education, spatial planning and border control.
