Interested companies visit the Mateševo – Andrijevica section

Companies interested in the construction of the Mateševo – Andrijevica section of the Bar-Boljare highway, alongside representatives from Monteput and the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs, recently visited the proposed route. This visit reaffirmed the significant interest from renowned international companies in this project, which will be funded by EU grants, loans from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the state budget.

During the visit, all interested companies received necessary explanations to help them adequately prepare for participation in the ongoing prequalification process and subsequent phases related to selecting the most favourable contractor for the works, in accordance with the FIDIC Yellow Book and EBRD procurement procedures.

It is encouraging that a large number of international companies have shown interest in a short period, which, along with the obligation to comply with TEN-T standards, EBRD procurement rules, and other applicable national regulations and procedures related to the implementation of complex construction projects, guarantees future quality, safety, and durability of the works.

The prequalification request for selecting the most favourable contractor for works in accordance with the FIDIC Yellow Book, as per EBRD procurement procedures, was published on 24 April 2024 and is open for 60 days. We hereby invite all interested companies that meet the prescribed conditions to participate and submit their expressions of interest.
